Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information on this website.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to gamblingauthority.sx, the website established to inform the public, in preparation for the future Sint Maarten Gambling Authority, which will come into existence once the new Kansspelverordening (National Gambling Ordinance) enters into force. It explains what personal information is collected through this website, why it is collected, and how it is handled.

2. Information We Collect

The only personal information we collect through this website is what you choose to submit through our Contact form: your full name, email address, the subject of your enquiry, and the content of your message. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from other sources.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through the Contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on it. We do not use this information for marketing purposes, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

4. Third-Party Processing

Our Contact form is processed using Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which receives your submitted details in order to deliver them to us by email. This website also loads a styling library (Tailwind CSS) from a third-party content delivery network (jsDelivr) to display correctly; this is a technical resource used to render the page and does not involve the collection of your personal information by that provider through this website.

5. Data Retention

We retain the contents of enquiries submitted through the Contact form only for as long as necessary to address them and for a reasonable period afterwards, for record-keeping purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Cookies

This website does not currently use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking purposes. If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information submitted to us against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, or to have it deleted, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the version currently in effect.

10. Contact

For any questions about this Privacy Policy, or to exercise your rights regarding your personal information, please contact us at info@gamblingauthority.sx.

Please note: this Privacy Policy concerns the handling of personal information submitted through this website. It is separate from, and not affected by, the status of the Kansspelverordening (National Gambling Ordinance), which has not yet entered into force.
